  1. I remember all the times cooking with my grandma, we made cookies all the time with cookie cutters and even made sandwiches and used the cookie cutters to have fun shaped peanut butter and jelly or cheese sandwiches! But to this day I still love to make good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies and now me and my daughter make and send them to my grandma in colorado!

  3. I remember standing on a chair at the sink while my mom cooked dinner making “flavorless. colorless, odorless Kool-aid”. In other words I was filling a pitcher over and over with water, but I will always remember that. I have lots of other memories cooking with my Mom but I think that might be my favorite.

  4. The strongest memory I have about cooking is making jam filled muffins with my Grandma. I was only a little girl at the time but she let me help with all of the steps of the cooking process. When they were finished, we would cut them up into pieces and place some in empty styrofoam egg cartons. My grandma would include mini sandwiches, vegetables, and everything you could need for a full meal. We would take them to a park and have a picnic.

My grandma died from lung cancer shortly after my 8th birthday, although she was never a smoker. I am so glad to have had those special memories with her.

  5. my favorite memory is when my sister had moved out and had her 1st big thanksgiving and got up early to turn the oven on to cook the turkey, stuffed the turkey and went to bed. My grandma showed up for the dinner and remarked to my sister that the house sure didn’t smell like turkey yet and opened the oven, sure enough my sister had never turned the thing on so we ate everything but turkey on thanksgiving

  7. Honestly I never really baked when I was young thats why I find it so important that my three girls help out in the kitchen and have fun while doing it. We have a blast and if course love the results! Yum!

  8. My favorite cooking memories are the ones I’m making now with my 3-year-old twin daughters. I love to bake and they have been there watching me since day one. I would talk to them in their chairs while they watched me prepare dinner or bake my much-requested Blondies. Now they actually “help”. I measure the ingredients and they pour them in, and stir for me. We’ve done everything from pancakes to cookies, vegetables and pot roast. They tell me they want to be “cookers” when they grow up and that I’m the bestest cooker in the whole world! Those are the memories that I cherish! (You’re on my FB page too!)

  9. Every year my mom and I bake cookies and make chocolate covered pretzels for gifts and to enjoy. We have been doing this since I was a child and now my two year old son has been ‘helping’ out.
Baking always reminds me of my mom.

  10. My favorite cooking moment is with my now 3 yr old when she was about 7 months. I don’t honestly remember what “we” made because it didn’t matter! I sat her next to me on the counter in one of those funny baby seats after I turned on the video camera. I explained exactly what I was doing so that later in life she could watch the video, at the time she was completely clueless ofcoarse but still enjoyed it because of my voice! It was my first time baking again after her birth, she was an all consuming baby, so I was relieved to do this with her!:)

  11. I have many favorite moments including baking with my mom. A strong favorite though is having parties with my sister when we were 9 and 11. We would bake cakes – the mix it in the pan type – and decorate them or make pudding or jello. Then we’d have a party. I also love baking with my grandchildren now. They say we make the “best desserts”.

  12. I have lots of fun memories cooking with my each of my parents, but my favorite memories are more recent as I now pass on the fun with my own child! We started with “helping Mommy mix” a wide variety of things, but now it includes choosing what we are going to make, shopping for the ingredients, and putting everything together! As a 6-year old, my assistant is still easily distracted, but we still have a lot of fun (sometimes with some questionably “edible” things) – loves make new recipes, but doesn’t necessarily like suggestions from me!

  13. I remember decorating Christmas cookies every year with my mom. It was quite an ordeal. We would have about 5 different colors of frosting, tons of sprinkles/decorations, chocolate chips and more. The best part was all that “extra” frosting that I managed to sample throughout the ordeal!
